This Is The Estimated Price Of The Chery Omoda 5 EV To Be Sold In The UK
JAKARTA - China's automotive industry continues to expand its sales reach globally, with Chery becoming one of the leading producers. At the 2023 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) in Qatar, Chery introduced the Omoda 5 EV.
After the successful export of around 450,000 vehicles to various countries, the latest news of Omoda 5 EV will greet the British market which is also the company's plan.
The Omoda 5 EV stands out with a design that has undergone some changes from its gasoline variant. The LED light extends on the front without a grille, with a charming touch of "Omodes" in the middle of the lights. The interior retains a large mid-cone design, simple control buttons, and minimal transmission. The cream color and wood accent on the dashboard, steering, and mid-containment give this luxurious impression on the electric SUV.
Powered by a 61 kWh battery, the Omoda 5 EV produces 221 dk of power, allowing it to reach 0-100 km/hour in 7.8 seconds. With a distance of up to 450 km and fast charging technology that charges 80% of the power in 25 minutes, the Omoda 5 EV offers performance and reliability that attracts attention.

Reporting from Autocar, Monday, October 16, Chery plans to sell the Omoda 5 EV in the UK for around 45,000 pounds or around Rp. 861.9 million. This model will compete with a number of well-known electric SUVs such as Lexus UX 300e, Toyota bZ4X, and Nissan Arya.
Chery also plans to introduce its gasoline variant, Omoda 5, in the UK at an estimated price of between 24,000 and 27,000, equivalent to Rp460.5 million to Rp518.1 million. However, the price remains affordable in the UK.
In addition to Omoda 5, Chery will introduce other models such as Jaecool 7, a large SUV with gasoline and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options, marking Chery's ambitious move in the British car market.
