Results Of The 2023 Arctic Open: Hendra/Ahsan Step Into The Semifinals

JAKARTA - Men's doubles pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan qualified for the semifinals of the 2023 Arctic Open.

The fifth seed got a ticket after defeating the Czech pair Ond Wayij Kr?l/Adam Mendrek rubber game, 21-10, 19-21, and 21-10 at Vantaa Energia Arena, Finland, Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Hendra/Ahsan are the only representatives of Indonesia who are in the semifinals of this Super 500 BWF level event.

Furthermore, The Daddies will face the Danish pair, Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, who is the fourth seed in this event.

This will be the tenth clash between The Daddies and Kim/Anders. In the previous nine clashes, Hendra/Ahsan led the winning record, 7-2.

However, the two victories obtained by the Danish representative actually occurred in the three latest meetings.

The first victory over Hendra/Ahsan was engraved by Kim/Anders at the Thailand Open 2022. Meanwhile, the second victory occurred in their latest clash at the Hong Kong Open 2023.

In another match, Hendra/Ahsan's smooth journey cannot be followed by one other representative, namely Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Rambitan.

The pair had to go home in the quarter-finals after losing two straight games 21-20 and 21-18 against the Malaysian pair, Man Wei Chong/Kai Wun Tee.
