Mangkrak Hospital Project, Mayor Of Langsa Report To Moeldoko
JAKARTA - The construction of the Regional Hospital in Kotamadya Langsa, East Aceh, is experiencing serious problems. The delay in the construction of this hospital project was due to changes in the priority of the government budget, resulting in its progress stalled since 2018. From the total budget plan of IDR 1.2 trillion, to date, only IDR 169 billion is available. We must not allow this project to become an neglected item," said Moeldoko in his statement, Wednesday 4 October. In accordance with the function of KSP in smoothing national priority programs, Moeldoko urged that meetings be held immediately with the relevant ministries to ensure the continuation of Langsa Hospital Development. "Although understanding that changing the budget allocation at the end of the year is not an easy task. We must try hard. We hope that this problem can be resolved in the immediate future, even this week," said Moeldoko. Langsa Regional Hospital was previously part of the Aceh Province Special Autonomy Plan (Otsus). Physically, the development progress of new buildings and land reached 40 percent. The mayor also expressed his concern that this project would not be completed immediately until the end of the Otsus period in 2027, then the efforts so far would be in vain. This Langsa Regional Hospital is expected to be an important pillar in the health sector for the East Aceh region and its surroundings, including the western part of North Sumatra. Its proximity to the Trans-Sumatra toll gate provides great potential in providing better health services to the community.
This is very crucial, especially in an effort to reduce the stunting rate in Aceh, which is currently still the third highest ranking at the national level.
