Hasto Says There Are Parties Feeling National Leaders After Megawati Talks About Practical Political Sieges

Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said there were parties who agreed to become leaders after PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri asked her cadres not to be afraid to face practical political sieges.

The statement was made by the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia during a political speech at the opening of the PDIP Rakernas IV yesterday. Nggge mongso is a Javanese term which means doing something before time.

"Some have not yet built perceptions, so it seems thatnggege Mongso has become a national leader even though the people are the ones who decide," Hasto told reporters at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, quoted on Saturday, September 30.

Hasto said Megawati's statement should be a concern for cadres. Moreover, PDIP has been trained to face political tests since the New Order era until it became an opposition for 10 years.

"So that Mrs. Mega gives encouragement that the important thing is the downward movement with the people, we are able to overcome various problems that are as heavy as they come," he said.

As previously reported, Megawati asked her cadres not to be afraid to face practical political maneuvers. They must continue to fight for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) with the people.

"So far we have been united with the people. Never be afraid, at all, to face various sieges and practical political maneuvers that only use desire, power, as a goal," Megawati said in her political speech at the opening of the PDIP Rakernas IV at JIExpo Kemayoran, Friday, September 29.

Megawati asked her cadres to do politics by using her conscience. They must prioritize the people as a mandate provider.

Setiah ke yaitu rakyat, rakyat, rakyat. Siap? ujarnya diterima bouh para kader, siap!

"In the future, Megawati said that PDIP will offer the concept of people's sovereignty in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). That is the party's main commitment to the upcoming government," he said.

'By winning the legislative election and Mr. Ganjar Pranowo as the 8th President. Can you do it?'

"Sangup," answered the cadres.
