Online Fraud Rises, Danamon Reminds Customers Not Just Click Links
JAKARTA - PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk reminds its customers not to carelessly press online links.
This is in line with the rise of online fraud that often occurs in various types.
One of them is fraud in the form of fake websites.
Bank Danamon's Chief Digital Officer, Andreas Kurniawan, said that this fraud must be watched out for because usually fraudsters do this to obtain customer data and dredge customers' assets to the last.
"A fake website was found on behalf of Danamon and seemed to display the D-Bank PRO website on the screen," he said in a statement to VOI, Friday, September 29.
On the fake website, he said, the key that customers can click is the login button, which then if the customer login, the thing that happens is that the fraudster can access all customer data.
"As customer-centric organization, customer data security is our priority. Therefore, Danamon urges all customers to always be careful when opening a website, especially fake websites on behalf of Danamon and always to carefully read the address of the website that is being opened," Andreas explained.
He also warned customers not to forget to always check the address of the official D-Bank PRO website, namely www.dbank.co.id.
For the application version, the mobile banking D-Bank PRO can only be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
