Successful Global Scale Business Expansion, PIS Wins Two Prestigious Awards
JAKARTA -PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) successfully bought up two prestigious awards as well as at the 2023 Indonesia Anugerah Innovation Award (ICAII). In an appreciation event for the innovation program among the national capital market industry, PIS was lined up as the winner of the Main Award for the External Category through the opening of the PIS Middle East Branch Office (PIS ME). Not only that, individually, PIS CEO Yoki Firnandi, as well as Outstanding Innovative Corporate LeaderICAII 2023. As is known, PIS is a business entity under the auspices of PT Pertamina (Persero), which since 2021 has been trusted as the parent of a logistics and shipping subholding field within the Pertamina Group. As part of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) in the oil and gas (migas) field, PIS has a vision to be able to appear and even compete at the Asian regional level. Therefore, the innovation steps taken by PIS management by opening branch offices in Dubai to work on the Middle East operational region (Middle East) are considered a visionary breakthrough. As a result, only half a year of operation, PIS ME has successfully obtained global clients and scored profits of 1.5 million US dollars. Through this same work, PIS also expands the coverage of routes being worked on in international waters, such as Chile (South America), Puerto Rico (United America), Dominican Republic (Karibia), Tanzania, Poland and Portugal. Nevertheless, PIS CEO Yoki Firmandi, emphasized that the aggressiveness in carrying out such expansion does not make PIS forget its control over the Southeast Asian market, which is considered also rapidly growing and increasingly promising.
