Environmental Friendly Principles, Head Of Authority: There Can't Be Fuel Vehicles In IKN
The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) said that only environmentally friendly vehicles can be used as means of transportation in the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) area. This is done to achieve the Net Zero Emission (NZE) target by 2060.
"(Steps) OIKN in the program to reduce emissions are that all (vehicles) must be environmentally friendly, no vehicles can use fuel oil (BBM) (enter the IKN area)," OIKN Head Bambang Susantono told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 26.
Bambang said the environmentally friendly vehicles in question could be electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered or similar vehicles that can reduce emissions and air pollution.
"Everyone uses environmentally friendly vehicles, they can be electric or hydrogen vehicles, and so on," he said.
In addition, Bambang also hopes for the cooperation of all parties, including the media, to help make this happen.
"Yes, we also invite friends who have funds to have one movement, later they can work together," he said.
Previously reported, the Committee for Environment, Social and Governance or ESG (environment, social, and governance) will oversee the implementation of environmental, social and governance aspects of the State Capital or IKN Nusantara.
"These are the 9 ESG Warriors who oversee the implementation of environmental management, social aspects and governance, we should be proud of these best figures," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono.

Bambang said that institutionally, the ESG Committee is not part of the OIKN because this committee is an independent committee.
"They are completely indirect (related to us) because we want, Mr. Dhony Rahajoe and I (Deputy Head of the IKN Authority) to maintain independence. Give us criticism, give us advice, give us a enriching proposal," he said.
Meanwhile, IKN Nusantara proclaimed as the first city in Indonesia to have a committee for Environment, Social and Governance or often called ESG (environmental, social, and governance).
