Deddy Sitorus PDIP Regarding Kaesang Becomes Chairman: Congratulations, PSI Great
PDI-P (PDIP) stated that they were not worried even though Kaesang Pangarep, who now serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). PDIP politician Deddy Sitorus congratulated the youngest child of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"I think congratulations to Mas Kaesang as general chairman," said Deddy to reporters in Jakarta quoted on Tuesday, September 26.
Deddy then mentioned PSI's greatness because he appointed Kaesang as general chairman. "You can choose party leaders from young people who are ripe, the flight hours are high," he said.
In the future, Deddy stated that his party would not worry. PDIP is confident in the political work it has done.
PDIP, continued Deddy, will also not discuss specifically with President Jokowi about the joining of Kaesang to PSI. Although the father is a PDIP cadre, Kaesang has the right to choose where he will start his political career.
"When it comes to joining PSI, it's Kaesang's business, yes, as a human being, as a citizen," he said.
"In fact, we salute him, he can get the position of chairman of a party that is truly extraordinary in our opinion," continued Deddy.

Previously reported, PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep admitted that his appointment as party leader could occur thanks to his special status as the son of President Joko Widodo. This statement was made by Kaesang after the PSI National Land Coffee (Kopdarnas) event which appointed him as chairman.
"Yes, private. Privileges are always there. That's it, that's it. I agree," said Kaesang at Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 25.
Kaesang admitted that his decision to enter politics was inspired by the footsteps of his father. He felt capable because he saw Jokowi's track record departing from the position of Mayor of Solo, Governor of DKI Jakarta, to President with PDIP support.
Kaesang also talked to Jokowi when he decided to join the party bearing the rose symbol. "My permission to take my path, sir. May God bless this path I chose," he said.
