Ministry Of Home Affairs Asks Village Governments Not To Waste Village Funds
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has asked the village government not to waste the village funds provided by the central government in a very large amount because these funds can improve development and welfare in villages.
"Village funds per village have tripled from Rp280.3 million per village in 2015 to Rp907.1 million per village in 2022. So, this village fund should not be wasted," said Inspector General (Inspector General) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Tomsi Tohir Balawdilansir ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.
He explained that the total Village Funds from 2015 to 2022 were recorded at IDR 468.9 trillion. There has been an increase in the transfer of Village Funds from year to year.
It is recorded that since 2015, funds of IDR 20.67 trillion have been allocated and in 2022 Village Funds have been allocated IDR 68 trillion, an increase of more than three times compared to 2015.
Tomsi mentioned Law no. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages aims to improve welfare and advance the economy of rural communities and realize democratization in villages.
"This is in line with the third Nawacita of President Joko Widodo, namely building Indonesia from the outskirts by strengthening regions and villages within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Tomsi at the opening ceremony of the Village Government Apparatus Capacity Improvement Training in Bandung some time ago.
He said the government's great concern for this village is expected to improve services to the village community and narrow the inequality between the village and the city.
From the village funds that have been distributed, it supports the community's economic activities by building a village road along 311,656 km, a 1,602,227 m long bridge, a village market of 12,297 units.
Village-owned enterprises (BumDes) currently have reached 47,128 units, 7,420 boat moorings, 5,413 reservoirs, 572,8112 irrigation units, and 249,415 land retainers.
In the field of regulation in particular, where the age of Law no. 6/2014 concerning Villages has entered the age of sewindu, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued 24 Regulations of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) which regulates village governance.
