Anies Baswedan Undergoes The Honorary Ritual Of Luwu Land In Palopo
Bakal capres Anies Rasyid Baswedan menjalani ritul adat "Mappasebbi" atau pemberian kehormatan dalam tradisi Istana Datu Luwu untuk mendengar ungkap pediran seseorang yang perlu mendapatkan doa dan restu dari Kedatuan Luwu, saat safari politik di Kota Palopo, Sulawesi Selatan.
Head of the Luwu Kedatuan Secretariat Office Andi Adnan Baso Ulung Opu Daeng Mapata explained that the traditional ritual "Mappesabbi" was carried out in two main stages, namely the pick-up procession and the core procession.
Reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23, during the pick-up procession of Anies Baswedan, the "tilung river" ritual or umbrellad with a six-poled tent carried by six girls.
Furthermore, following the "riwata lawolo" or walking guided by a ritual leader escorted by palace troops was greeted by the "padduppa" dance followed by giving tribute using 12 palace heirloom spears.
In front of the steps of the Luwu Kedatuan palace by Supassang Songka, where this ritual contains prayers and inaugurations to invite Anies Baswedan to enter the Balarung Salastae Hall. This welcoming ritual will end with traditional traditions

After the Mappesabbi ritual, Anies Baswedan and his wife Fery Farhati Ganis were treated with typical Luwu foods such as limestone, jokes, sinole, parades and other foods, then headed to the Jami Tua Palopo Mosque to perform the d betterur prayer while greeting the congregation and taking photos with the community who were looking forward to the arrival of the former Minister of Education and Culture.
