March 2023 Limit, KPK Reveals 53 Sorong City Government Officials Have Not Reported LHKPN

WEST PAPUA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) assesses that the Sorong City Government (Pemkot) is slow in providing state administrators' wealth reports (LHKPN) in Sorong.

Head of the Coordination and Supervision Task Force for Region V KPK Dian Patria explained that the Sorong City Government LHKPN had not been realized until September 2023, even though it was in accordance with the provisions of March 2023.

Following up on this condition, the KPK's Regional V Supervision Coordination Task Force monitors and evaluates Regional Governments (Pemda) throughout Southwest Province by the KPK on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

"There have been findings based on the results of the field, it must be followed up so that the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) score of Sorong City increases," said Head of the Regional V Coordination and Supervision Task Force, Dian Patria, in a written statement, Thursday, September 14, confiscated by Antara.

He said the KPK noted that there were 53 officials within the Sorong City Government who had not submitted LHKPN.

Of the 53 executive officials consisted of two service heads, 14 field heads, 13 treasurers, two district heads, three village heads, three secretaries, then one expert staff.

"This government should have moved quickly if everyone was waiting for the KPK to come and move, it means that there is no will to change," said Kasatgas Dian.

Based on the results of the LHKPN released by the KPK on regencies/cities in Southwest Papua Province 2022 as follows from Sorong Regency with 100 percent compliance, Raja Ampat 100 percent, Tambrauw 100 percent, Maybrat 97, 66 percent, Sorong City Government 79, 22 percent, followed by the South Sorong Regency Government 74, 22 percent.

"We need to learn shame because if we have shame that we control regional assets, we need to report it, not feel proud of the regional assets we have, that's a problem," said Dian Patria.

In this regard, the KPK and the Sorong City Government have agreed together to submit the LHKPN within two weeks.

"This must be reported immediately with the time that has been mutually agreed upon. Indeed, no sanctions have been given, so at least we will investigate it like several other big cases," said Dian.

In addition, Kasatgas Dian also said that there were eight areas measured by the KPK through MCP, including APBD budgeting planning, procurement of goods and services, PTSP, APIP, ASN management, local tax optimization, regional asset management and village fund management.

"Of the eight areas, the city of Sorong only gets a score of 28 out of 100," explained Dian.

Therefore, he hopes that the Sorong City Government will immediately submit the LHKPN in accordance with the specified time limit so that later it will not provide space for the KPK to enter further.
