WhatsApp Starts To Subsequently With EU, Makes Applications Cross Platforms
JAKARTA - WhatsApp seems to have started complying with the European Union's (EU) Digital Market Law (DMA), by presenting a cross-platform application feature.
The first time it was reported by WABetaInfo, a cross-platform feature or third-party chat was seen in the WhatsApp beta update for Android in version 2.23.19.8.
A third-party chat feature will be displayed on a separate new screen. But for now, the feature is not working and cannot be accessed by users.
Looking at the title of that feature, it is a powerful clue in which Meta as the parent of WhatsApp has started the first step towards opening encrypted messaging apps to be cross-platform compatible.

Because, a few days ago, the EU had settled Meta with its WhatsApp messaging application as a gatekeeper based on DMA.
