The Riau Islands Police Chief Ensures That The Situation In The Batam Rempang Is Conducive After Clashes
The Riau Islands Police Chief (Kepri) Inspector General Tabana Bangun confirmed that the situation was conducive after residents of Rempang, Batam City, Riau Islands chose to go home after being involved in clashes with joint officers during land measurements for the development of the Rempang Eco City project.
"Activities are going well and not crucial things are happening. The public has also realized and returned to their homes, and members have not had any prominent activities in the field," said the Tabana Police Chief after visiting the location reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.
He said that today's security activities had been completed and security officers had also been directed back to their respective units.
"Tonight's activities have been completed. Because the community understands about this activity and returns home well and personnel will take a break back to their respective units," he said.
Regarding the commotion in security this time, according to him, the actions taken by the personnel were appropriate. Because previously socialization and appeals had been made to the public regarding the development of the island.
