Dikbud Plans To Share Free Uniforms To 8,083 Students At Rejang Lebong Bengkulu

REJANG LEBONG - The Education and Culture Office (Dikbud) of Rejang Lebong Regency plans to provide free school uniforms for 8,083 elementary and junior high school students in Rejang Lebong.

Secretary of Dikbud Rejang Lebong Hanafi said that the students who received the free uniform assistance were specifically for new students at school under the auspices of Dikbud Rejang Lebong.

"The prospective recipients of free uniforms in 2023 reached 8,803 students. This data is the last Dapodik cut off data on August 31," he said in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu, Thursday, September 7, which was confiscated by Antara.

Based on data cut off basic education data (Dapodik) from elementary and junior high school in Rejang Lebong Regency, Hanafi explained that at the elementary school level there were 4,159 students consisting of 2,181 male elementary school students, then 1,978 female elementary school students.

Furthermore, there were 3,924 prospective junior high school recipients, consisting of 2,028 male grade VII junior high schools and 1,896 female class junior high schools.

According to him, the distribution of free school uniforms financed by the 2023 Rejang Lebong APBD worth IDR 1.6 billion is targeted to be implemented in October, where it is currently still in the auction process.

Hanafi hopes that the distribution of free and white school uniforms for elementary schools, and blue-and-white for junior high school students will later reduce the burden of spending on parents to buy their children's school uniforms.

Previously, in 2022, Dikbud Rejang Lebong also distributed free school uniforms assistance to elementary and junior high school grade students in the area with a total of 8,584 people.
