KPK Again Searches Reyna Usman's House, This Time It's Bali's Turn

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again searched the chairman of the Bali PKB DPW, Reyna Usman, today, Thursday, September 7. The search was carried out to find evidence of alleged corruption in the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

"The Investigative Team conducted a search in the Badung Regency, Bali. The location is on Jalan Tunon Mengwi Buduk," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, September 7.

The search at the house of the former Director General of Manpower Placement and Transmigration of the Ministry of Manpower is still ongoing. "We will immediately convey the progress," said Ali.

Reyna was questioned by investigators on Monday, September 4. At that time he was asked for information regarding planning to carry out work from the procurement of the TKI protection system.

However, Reyna did not explain about his examination when he left the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He chose to take a thousand steps to avoid journalists.

Previously, the KPK said that there were three suspects named in the corruption case at the Ministry of Manpower. Although the KPK has not yet submitted it, the Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly involved.

The value of the information system procurement project that is suspected to be the result of the perpetrators reached around Rp. 20 billion. Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata said that this system was allegedly corrupted until it could not be used to monitor migrant workers.

"Those who can only use computers to type and so on. However, the system itself is not running," he said to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, August 24.
