Jeep Presents the Final Edition of the FarOut Gladiator for the European Region

JAKARTA - Off-road car manufacturer from the US, Jeep, will end sales of one model in Europe. The presence of the newest Jeep Gladiator FarOut is a farewell to the blue continent.

Unlike the US-spec FarOut which is based on the Gladiator Rubicon, the European model shares the same base with the Overland trim. The exterior is made sturdier than the trim.

Reporting from Carscoops, Wednesday, September 6, the differences on the exterior lie in the 18-inch aluminum granite crystal rims in gloss black, Mopar side steps, black fenders, and the "FarOut Edition" plaque on the back.

However, Jeep didn't ditch the parts that were already present on the Overland trim, such as the LED lighting and the Spray-In Bedliner guard.

The inside is equipped with McKinley premium leather seats which have heated seat function, 9-speaker Alpine audio, and various ADAS radar features.

Jeep also provides various optional features, some of which include a lockable lower storage compartment in the rear seat, an off-road camera, a roll-up tonneau cover, and a 400W inverter or 230V AC outlet.

The Jeep Gladiator FarOUt Final Edition is equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine which has a power of 260 hp and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. The powertrain is integrated with the eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission and the Jeep 4x4 Selec-Trac drive system.

This latest edition of the car is available to order online and is priced at USD 77,500 or around IDR 1.2 billion in Germany.

Gladiator's presence on the European continent was relatively short, less than three years. Jeep experienced bad luck in Europe when strict emissions policies were implemented, causing sales of this trim pickup to slow down.

Following several other manufacturers, Jeep is also preparing three new EV models which will be launched in 2025, following the Jeep Avenger as a small SUV.

Old Jeep models will also be presented in electrified types, such as the Recon and Wagoneer-S. It is hoped that these models will help Jeep sales in this segment in Europe by the end of 2030.
