Trapped In Case Of Alleged Domestic Violence, Antony Was Immediately Crossed Out Of The Brazilian National Team
JAKARTA - Manchester United player, Antony Santos, has been crossed out of the Brazilian national team squad list. This is related to the emergence of cases of alleged domestic violence (KDRT) by the player.
News of Antony being dropped from the Samba Team squad was conveyed by the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) on Tuesday, September 5 morning WIB. He was expelled from the squad for the September edition of the FIFA Matchday agenda.
"Based on the facts revealed to the public Monday (4 September) involving striker Antony from Manchester United and needs to be investigated, as well as to save suspects, victims, players, Brazilian teams, and CBFs, we inform that the athlete has been dropped from the Brazilian national team," CBF wrote in a release. quoted from their official website.
After deciding to remove Antony from the squad for FIFA Matchday, CBF immediately appointed his successor. Arsenal player Gabriel Jesus was chosen to fill Antony's crossed out position.
"To replace him, Brazilian national team coach Fernando Diniz called on Gabriel Jesus who had been previously selected on the list of 36 players who had been sent to FIFA," CBF continued.
The alleged case of domestic violence that made Antony have to deal with the police emerged after his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, reported it. Cavallin claims to have evidence of Antony's violence against him.

Regarding this accusation, Antony denied it through information uploaded on social media on the same day. Antony asserted that the accusation was 100 percent untrue.
"To honor my fans, friends and family, I feel obliged to speak openly about false accusations by someone who is the victim," Antony wrote on Instagram story.
"From the start I have handled this issue seriously and fully respects it, providing proper clarification to the police authorities. Police investigations were carried out on the grounds of justice, therefore I cannot publish its contents."
"However, I can say with 100 percent confidence that the allegations are not true and that the evidence that has been produced and more will be produced shows that I am innocent of the accusations made," Antony said in his defense.
