Prosecutor's Office Names Former Director Of PDAM Bone Bolango For Corruption Suspect
BONE BOLANGO - Gorontalo High Prosecutor's Office has named the former Director of the Bone Bolango Regency Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Yusar Laya as a suspect in a suspected corruption case.
Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the Gorontalo Attorney General's Office, Dadang Djafar, said that the determination of the suspect Yusar Laya was carried out after being questioned by investigators and the person concerned was immediately detained for investigation purposes.
"Based on the letter of determination of the suspect Number B17-8/P5/FD./09 2023 dated September 1, 2023, Yusar Laya has also been examined and detained today," said Dadang as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 1.
He explained that Yusar Laya was named a suspect in the alleged misuse of funds that occurred at the Bone Bolango Regency PDAM from 2018 to 2021 related to capital participation from the local government.
"The share of the Bone Bolango Regency capital was only disbursed by the local government and the Bone Bolango urban drinking water grant program in the context of the Low-Income Community House Connectment (SRMBR) program by attaching a statement of idle water capacity," he said.
The act, said Dadang, contradicts the Circular of the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR RI Number 12/SE/DC/2017 concerning guidelines for managing drinking water and sanitation grant programs, which were used as guidelines in 2018 and 2019.
"And the Circular of the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR RI Number 14/SE/DC/2020 concerning guidelines for managing urban drinking water grant programs, which are used as guidelines in 2020 and 2021, resulting in state financial losses of IDR 24.328 billion," he said.
Based on the results of calculations by the Gorontalo Provincial Financial Representative Agency, it is estimated that the state financial loss is IDR 24.328 billion.
