Danareksa Invites Global Investors To Cooperate In The Indonesia Water Fund Project

JAKARTA - PT Danareksa (Persero) (Danareksa) is exploring cooperation with a number of global investors to join the Indonesia Water Fund (IWF) project. This collaboration is related to funding for clean water infrastructure development.

President Director of PT Danareksa (Persero), Yadi Jaya Ruchandi, said that Danareksa supports the Indonesian government in building partnerships with global parties through AIPF by presenting the advantages of the IWF.

Since its launch in October 2022, Yadi said, IWF has become an investment facility for investors, including SOEs, sovereign wealth funds, the private sector, and global companies to be involved in funding clean water access infrastructure.

"Danareksa itself continues to develop the potential for cooperation and collaboration with a number of global companies to realize 10 million new home connections (SR)," he said in an official statement, Friday, September 1.

Yadi said the IWF formation plan requires active management of investment and technical support in the water resources sector from Strategic Partners and investment fund support from Financial Investors.

Currently, said Yadi, Danareksa together with strategic partners have identified several projects that will be run as pilots. One of them is the implementation of the SPAM project with a capacity target of around 1,000-5,000 lps (liter per second).

"Those who hope will provide service coverage of up to 16 sub-districts to big cities on the island of Java," he said.

Yadi said the IWF provides convenience in replicating the funding structure, so investors do not need to repeat the entire process in every investment implementation.

Other IWF advantages are also found in the synergy chain associated with Holding BUMN Danareksa which includes the management of water resources by Perum Jasa Tirta I and Perum Jasa Tirta II, the construction sector by PT Nindya Karya, and the consulting field by PT Virama Karya (Persero), PT Yodya Karya (Persero), and PT Indra Karya (Persero).

"Therefore, we are very grateful to the government for providing an opportunity for Danareksa to engage in business matching at the AIPF (ASEAN Indo Pacific Forum)," he said.

According to Yadi, AIPF will be the right platform for Danareksa to open up opportunities for business cooperation with partners in the Indo-Pacific region to build infrastructure in the field of clean water supply.
