Uray said that the archives that had been destroyed were 21,032 files consisting of archives requesting RI travel documents and archives for residence permits for foreign nationals (WNA).
According to him, the destruction of the archives aims to create correct archival governance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and to create more efficient archive arrangements within the Class III Immigration Office of TPI Putussibau.

Meanwhile, the Young Expert Archiver of the General Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Fitriah Agustiani, explained that archival management is important because the archive will always be used as information that can be used as a basis for decision making and policies so that with the correct arrangement of archives it will make it easier when the archive is needed again by the organization.
"However, it is important to destroy archives to reduce archive buildup and secure archives in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures," he explained.
He hopes that the destruction of these archives can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of archive storage space and realize orderly archive administration within the Class III Immigration Office of TPI Putussibau.
