Kampar PSHW Mini Stadium Project Worker Who Drifted While Bathing With Friends Has Not Been Found
RIAU - The joint SAR team is still looking for a worker who was reported to have drowned in the Kampar River, Kampar Regency, Riau Province.
Kampar Sector Police Chief Iptu Ilhamdi said rescue workers were already at the scene looking for Yanda (22), a worker who was reported to have drowned in the river.
Residents working on a sheet pile construction project in the PSHW Mini Stadium Area in Penyasawan Hamlet, Penyawan Village, Kampar District, were reportedly swept away while bathing in the river with two of their friends on Saturday, August 26 afternoon.
Yanda, who is from Solok Regency in West Sumatra Province, was swept away while bathing with two of her friends in the Kampar River in Penyasawan Village.
Ilhamdi said the three of them swam towards the other side and then swam back to their original place, but suddenly Yanda's feet cramped.
"Both of his colleagues tried to help the victim at that time, but because Anton felt he could not help the victim, he swam back to the riverbank and asked the community for help," he said.

A friend of the victim named Amal tried to help the victim, but to no avail. Yanda then reportedly drowned in the river.
"Until now, the search continues, hopefully the victim will be found soon," said Ilhamdi.
