Fulfilling Community Needs, Ministry Of Communication And Information Launches Public Information Services

In order to meet the public's needs for public information, the Government always strives to facilitate the dissemination of information and facilitate public access.

The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) is now launching the Information Information Service Application info.go.id, which not only offers convenience but also integrated information between Ministries, Institutions, Central Governments, and Regional Governments.

"Data shows that currently there are 27,400 applications belonging to Ministries/Institutions (K/L/D) that have the potential to overlap and stand independently including the Public Information Service Application. Through the existence of an integrated application, the efficiency of application spending and monitoring the effectiveness of public information services nationally can be more easily achieved," explained Budi through the keynote speech ahead of the inauguration.

Budi explained that the info.go.id application is now official as the General Application of the National Public Information Service. In the future, it is hoped that it will be able to become a one-stop service for public information so that people do not have to bother looking for public information locations in every citizen

Every Indonesian citizen has the right to obtain public information, both a public policy-making plan, a public policy program, and a public decision-making process, as well as the reasons for making a public decision in accordance with Law number 14 of 2008. Through this law, it is hoped that information management and services within the Public Agency will be able to generate quality information services to meet the public's needs for public information. Through the presence of the info.go.id application, it is hoped that the public can easily access information online, which is more relevant to the development of kiwari technology.

The Director General of Information and Public Communication, Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, Usman Kansong, in his speech said that the info.go.id application that was launched had the main goal of providing easy and fast access to the public for the information they needed anywhere and anytime. Accurate, clear, and timely public information delivered by Usman, is the key in realizing a more participatory and intelligent order of society.

This application provides various features that will help the public access accurate information because it is sourced directly from the Public Agency. Starting from the latest news, the latest regulations, important events, to information about public services that are around us. All this information can be accessed easily through the hands of hands, whenever needed, "said Usman.
