Dumai Customs Confiscates 277 Balls Of Used Clothes And Import Perfume From Malaysia
DUMAI - Customs and Excise Officer for Customs and Excise in Customs, Dumai, Riau, confiscated 277 used markets and 9 cartons of imported perfume from Malaysia without official documents transported by the Rajawali KLM ship around Dumai waters.
Dumai Customs And Excise Public Relations Officer Mahendra Sukma said the arrest of imported goods was brought by KLM Rajawali from Port Klang Malaysia thanks to intelligence information from the Riau Customs P2 Section. Then followed by the Dumai BC Patrol.
"The intelligence suspects the movement of the Rajawali KLM wooden ship carrying used clothes from Port Klang Malaysia to Dumai, and after sweeping it by the 15019 BC marine patrol and we finally secured it," Mahendra told reporters as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 22.
After initial identification, it was discovered that KLM Rajawali was transporting used clothes which were prohibited imported goods at the incident on Sunday (20/8).
For the purposes of further investigation, KLM Rajawali together with the cargo were brought to Dumai City Port by the Riau DJBC Regional Office Enforcement and Investigation Team.

From the initial inspection, information was obtained that the Rajawali KLM was manned by seven crew members and 277ball used clothes and 9 cartons of perfume from Port Klang Malaysia, which was planned to be demolished in Dumai City.
"The evidence and the alleged perpetrators were then processed further by the Investigation Team of the Riau DJBC Regional Office," said Mahendra.
The used goods of one of the goods prohibited from being imported are in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 18 of 2021 concerning goods prohibited from exports and goods prohibited from imports as amended by the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 40 of 2022.
