According to him, the vice president's office in Bumi Cenderawasih is in order to coordinate and consolidate in order to accelerate development in Papua.

"BP3OKP (Directorate for the Acceleration of Papuan Special Autonomy Development) is an institution or agency that can coordinate government programs and activities and the community in Papua, so we strongly support the visit," he said in Jayapura, Tuesday, August 22.

Regarding the visit of the Vice President, Derek said the Papua Provincial Government (Pemrov) had coordinated with the XVII Cenderawasih Military Command and the Papua Regional Police regarding security.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for Vice President Masduki Baidlowi said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin would have an office in Papua in early September 2023 with a number of ministers and TNI Commanders to accelerate development efforts there and also resolve problems faced by local governments.

"Earlier, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture reported several important things to the Vice President, especially those related to the results of his visit to Papua. Incidentally, the Vice President plans to return to Papua on September 4 and plans to have an office there with a number of ministers," said Masduki in Jakarta, Friday, August 18.

Masduki said the Vice President would have an office in Papua for several days and visit a number of areas there. Some time ago the Vice President had also visited and toured a number of cities in Papua for a week.
