Aniaya's Father, Aniya Putri, 8 Years Old In Tarutung, Is Threatened With 5 Years In Prison
TARUTUNG - A father of ML (41) a resident of Hutatoruan Village, North Tapanuli Regency who abused his biological daughter NL (8) in Tarutung City, North Sumatra, was threatened with five years in prison.
"The perpetrator of the persecution was charged with violating Article 44 paragraph 1 of Law Number 23 of 2004, concerning the elimination of domestic violence (KDRT) with a threat of five years in prison," said Taput Police Chief AKBP Johanson Sianturi, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Zuhatta Mahadi, reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 21.
Zuhatta said the incident took place on Sunday (13/08) at the perpetrator's house in Hutatoruan Village, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency.
The perpetrator had the heart to persecute his own child without mercy and suffered bruises all over his body.
"As a result of his father's actions who abused him using the handle of the broom until his broom handle broke," he said.
After the Taput Police received a complaint, Monday (14/08), investigators brought the victim for a post-mortem and examined a number of witnesses.
"Less than 24 hours, to be precise Tuesday (15/08) we immediately arrested the ML suspect from hiding place," he said.

Kasat Reskrim said the victim, who was accompanied by his grandmother when reporting the incident, said that the incident occurred when NL was asked by the suspect ML of his grandmother's whereabouts.
Because the victim did not immediately answer, the suspect was emotional without thinking and took the handle of the broom and hit NL until the handle of the broom broke.
"The suspect ignored the victim's tears until the neighbors found out about the incident and reported it to their grandmother," Zuhatta explained.
Zuhatta said that so far the suspect has been rude to his children because he is often drunk, so his two young children already live with their grandmothers who are 500 meters from their homes.
"The victim's mother has been leaving the suspect and children for almost five months because she is unable to bear the behavior of her husband. Currently, the suspect has been detained at the Taput Police," he said.
