President Jokowi Arrives In Dar Escur Tanzania

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and his entourage arrived at Dar Es Kalimantan, Tanzania for a state visit in the African region.

Reported by ANTARA from a written statement from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Jokowi and his entourage arrived at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar Esmen, Tanzania, using a GIA-1 aircraft.

Also accompanying President Jokowi on the flight to Dar Es Kalimantan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

President Jokowi's arrival was welcomed by Foreign Minister Tanzania Sterogomena Tax, Indonesian Ambassador to Dar Esmen Tri Yogo Jatmiko and Mrs. Ratna Jayanti Jatmiko, and Indonesian Defense Attache at Pretoria Colonel Mar Burhanuddin and Mrs. Witha Anugrah.

President Jokowi then received a wreath handed over by a Tanzanian child.

At the airport, President Jokowi was also greeted with a number of cultural appearances in the form of the Maasai Dance from Arusha and the Msewe dance from Zanzibar. In addition, there is also a music group playing local traditional music.

From Julius Nyere International Airport, President Jokowi and his entourage went straight to the hotel where they spent the night in Tanzania.

At the hotel, President Jokowi was greeted by a number of Indonesian Embassy employees Dar Esmen and representatives of the Indonesian people in Tanzania.

Previously, President Jokowi and his entourage took off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, Kenya at around 15:40 local time.

After making a state visit in the Republic of Kenya, President Joko Widodo continued his state visit to the United Republic of Tanzania.
