Honda Hits GIIAS 2023 With Civic Type R TCR Edition And City Hatchback Hospital
JAKARTA - Honda looked stunning in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) with various vehicles that attracted the attention of visitors.
Honda exhibits the concept of vehicle, the latest models, and also its electric line. However, Honda did not only stop there in participating in GIIAS 2023.
Through PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), this Japanese company presents a high-performance vehicle, namely Honda Civic Type R, with an attractive motorsport concept.
The Honda Civic Type R comes with a livery inspired by the TCR Series racing event. Based on the sixth generation Civic platform, this car has a very aggressive appearance with a red, white, and black alloy inspired by the Honda Civic Type R TCR livery design.
Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT HPM, explained that every Honda product has a sporty DNA, so the driver can feel the true potential of the Honda car.
"Each line of Honda products has a sporty DNA, from Honda Civic Type R to Honda City Hatchback RS," Billy said in his statement, Saturday, August 19.
Honda has consistently participated in the TCR Series, an international level Touring Car racing event, since 2012 using the Honda Civic Type R TCR. With this car, Honda won a manufacturing title in 2013.

In addition to the TCR edition of the Civic Type R, Honda Racing Indonesia also introduced the Honda Civic Type R which was used in the Indonesia Touring Car Race (ITCR) by local racer Alvin Bahar.
Honda Racing Indonesia competes in the ITCR 3,600 Max Division 2 event in the Indonesia Sentul Series of Motorsport (ISSOM) since 2022 until now.
Civic Type R's model recorded a fantastic feat by setting record for fastest laps at the famous Nurburgring circuit, Germany, last April with the latest generation, recording a time of 7:44,881.
In addition, they also introduced the Honda City Hatchback RS which has a appearance like a racing car and is used in a local racing event by Honda Racing Indonesia through racer Avila Bahar.
Honda Racing Indonesia continues to compete in ITCR 1,500 in the ISOM event since 2022 until now.
