Free Flag Rope, Juwangi Police Member Climbing 10 Meters
BOYOLALI A member of the Juwangi Sector Police (Polsek), Boyolali, Central Java climbed the flagpole at the time of the RI's 78th Independence Day ceremony at the Juwangi field, Thursday, August 17, at 09.45 WIB.
Juwangi Police Chief AKP Kuntadi Wijanarko explained that the incident occurred because the flag rope was released at the time of raising the flag.
Based on a video received by VOI, Friday, August 18, the police climbed the flagpole without thinking about the risk of height. When the action occurred, the sound of the song Indonesia Raya was still sung by a choir from school students.
It is known that the police officer who climbed the flagpole was the Intel Head, Bripka Suparno. Fortunately, Bripka Suparno managed to reach the tip of the rope which was released without any problems, although the height of the pole was estimated to reach more than 10 meters. Then he brought it down so that the ceremony could continue.

"So when the flag was hoisted, the flag-raising officer pulled it out. Then Bripka Suparno climbed the flagpole to take the rope that was attracted up," said Kuntadi Wijanarko, in a written statement.
Kuntadi made it clear that at that time the flag-raising officer was already in front of the flagpole and would be flown. However, continued Kuntadi, only a few tugs have been removed.
"When pulled out. It was only the beginning of the withdrawal, only 3-4 times the pull, the rope was removed. Then the rope was tied back to the flag, followed by the spread until it was finished. The flag still rose perfectly," explained Kuntadi.
