Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Claims The Government Is Serious In Overcoming Air Pollution In Jabodetabek
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the government was serious about dealing with air pollution in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) by continuing to encourage people to use public transportation and electric vehicles. "I think the government is serious about overcoming air pollution in Jabodetabek. Besides (provoking) so that many people use public transportation, and encouraging people to use electric vehicles," said the Vice President to reporters quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 14. In addition, the Vice President said, the government is making open spaces green.l to reduce pollution from vehicles. "Because the biggest pollution is from vehicles. And (so) things that might continue to be studied can be even better," said the Vice President. President Joko Widodo himself Monday morning held a special limited meeting to discuss air pollution in Jabodetabek. President Joko Widodo said it was necessary to encourage a hybrid work system to reduce air pollution in Jabodetabek which in the past week fell into the very bad category.
