Through Indonesia Drone Expo 2023, The Ministry Of Industry Wants An Increase In Investment In Local Industrial Production
The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) appreciates the Indonesia Drone Expo (IDE) exhibition which was held at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, on August 10-12, 2023.
Secretary of the Directorate General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics (ILMATE) of the Ministry of Industry Yan Sibarang Tandiele said the exhibition could have a positive impact on increasing investment in the domestic drone industry.
"Because, in the series of exhibitions, business matching was also carried out which resulted in a cooperation agreement between a number of drone industries in Indonesia," he said through an official statement received by VOI, Saturday, August 12.
Yan said this step is in line with digital transformation in various aspects of the economy, which is also in line with the priority program Making Indonesia 4.0. The Ministry of Industry is committed to continuing to support the development of the domestic drone industry to make it more innovative and globally competitive.
"We support the domestic drone industry to continue to improve the quality and value of its domestic content level (TKDN) in order to supply needs and support government programs," he said.
In this activity, there were companies that signed the cooperation, namely between PT Bentara Tabang Nusantara (PT BETA) and PT Terra Drone Indonesia, as well as PT Innovation of Indonesian Transportation Solutions (PT ISTI) and PT Tera Data Indonusa.
It is known, PT BETA is the drone manufacturing industry in Indonesia and PT Terra Drone is the largest drone service provider in the world from Japan. These two companies collaborate to export domestically produced drones to the international market.
This comprehensive cooperation was marked by the signing of the procurement agreement for 40 units of the RAYBE drone.

BETA-UAS CEO Indra Permana Sopian expressed his pride in establishing strategic cooperation with Terra Drone in an effort to bring RAYBE to the global market.
"This is an important step in strengthening the position of Indonesian local drone technology in the international market," he said.
Indra said that apart from the international market, the need for commercial drones in Indonesia is also very large in various industrial sectors. "One of them can be seen from the government's needs in the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program of the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the coastal survey of the Geospatial Information Agency throughout Indonesia which must use drones," he said.
