Offering Jakarta Post-IKN Project To Investors, DKI Provincial Government: We Need High Financing
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is holding the 2023 Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF). JIF is a business and investment forum where the DKI Provincial Government offers a number of Jakarta development projects to potential investors.DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Joko Agus Setyono explained that the purpose of this event was to find agreements for investor partners to finance strategic activities, starting from infrastructure, tourism, health, and others."It is hoped that through the financing mechanism and optimal investment in Jakarta, long-term development activities and strategic project projects that support the quality of people's lives to realize Jakarta as a city for all," said Joko at the JIF 2023 event in South Jakarta, Thursday, August 3.Joko realized that investment is very much needed in urban development. In Jakarta's economic structure, investment plays a significant role, which is around 33.6 percent of Jakarta's growth.Moreover, in 2024, Jakarta will be designed as a global city and a business center after the transfer of the State Capital of the Republic of Indonesia to the Archipelago, East Kalimantan."Hopefully they will be interested in the condition of DKI Jakarta, especially since Jakarta will become a global city in the near future, so we need high financing or funds to build Jakarta," said Joko.Furthermore, Joko stated that economic growth in Jakarta rose 4.95 percent in the first quarter of 2023. This positive value can be an attraction for potential investors to invest."Transportation and warehousing recorded the highest performance and grew by 17.43 percent. The higher mobility of the community has an impact on increasing Jakarta's transportation activities," said Joko.This year, JIF carries the theme "Global City and Beyond".
