Bluesky Adopts More Personalized New Algorithmic Feed
JAKARTA - Bluesky launched a new pass dubbed Find, which has been personalized, aka adapted to what users want to see.
The Find feed will also present what is trending on the platform, which was previously displayed on What's Hot feed, which caught the attention of potential users and followers.
However, this feed has now been replaced with an algorithmic Find feed, which includes trending content as well as posts from accounts followed and close to the user's social circle.
"We will continue to improve this algorithm, with the aim of creating a full feed with interesting content that is often updated and considering your unique interest," Bluesky said in its official blog, quoted Saturday, July 29.
This type of recommendation system is nothing new according to Bluesky, most social networks take user social interests and graphics into account to create unique feeds for them.
In fact, this feed is similar to the algorithmic feed used by other social networks, including Twitter's timeline namely For You, TikTok's For You tab, an updated Facebook's Explore Instagram page, or News Feed.

Bluesky says what makes it different from other social media is an algorithmic choice, where users can uninstall a feed they don't like, find and install new feeds that suit their interests better.
"If users don't like our new Discover feed, you can delete it and replace it with other special feeds to fully adjust their experience if they don't like our choices," Bluesky said.
Launching TechCrunch, despite Bluesky's innovation in terms of algorithmic choice and the underlying decentralized network protocol, there are concerns about the future of this particular Twitter twin.
The company has repeatedly faced criticism for its mishandling of moderation challenges, which recently passed usernames racially.
