Meanwhile, Screening vocalist Billy Corgan via his Instagram also shared a photo of the Irish singer.

"I know Sinead a little, after meeting him on his show and then when he lived at Walker's house outside Chicago," Billy said in the caption.

"Very honest, sweet, and funny, he is talented in a way that I'm not sure he fully understands. But Sinead stands alone as a figure of our generation who has always been loyal to the stabbing voice from within and outside. And for that I will always admire and respect him. And never forget that he was ever canceled because of a simple resistance act. His crime? Torn the photo, "he continued.

Then, there was also the Ice-T rapper who tweeted to pay his respects: "Regarding Sinead... He stands for something... Unlike most people... Rest in peace.."

The news of the death of the singer who decided to convert to Islam in 2018 and changed her name to S sameda Davitt was announced by the Sinead family.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Sinead. His family and friends were devastated and have asked for privacy at this very difficult time," reads a statement from the singer's family as reported by The Guardian.

The news of Sinead's death came a year after his 17-year-old son, Shane, committed suicide in January 2022. His last social media post was a tweet from a photo of his late son with the caption: "Since then he has lived as a living body of a night creature. He is the love of my life", my agent wrote.

So far, no cause of Sinead's death has been revealed.
