Thousand Islands Regent Proposes PIK 2 To Enter His Territory, Heru Budi: It's OK
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono responded to the proposal of the Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi who wanted the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 area to enter the administrative area.
However, before that, Heru said that the proposal to transfer the administration of the PIK 2 area to the Thousand Islands Regency still needed to be studied comprehensively.
"Yes, it's okay. Later we will study the land or parts of the Thousand Island," said Heru in the Thousand Islands, Tuesday, July 25.
The Regent of Thousand Islands Regency, Junaedi, previously stated that the proposed island results from the reclamation of PIK 2 became part of his administrative area for economic and political equality.
"Otherwise, the Thousand Islands are up to how many tens of regents are now 21 years old, just like that, there are no significant developments," Junaedi said on Monday, December 5.
He said business opportunities in his area were still less than optimal. Likewise, in terms of democracy has not developed.
Regionally, said Junaedi, PIK 2 entering the Thousand Islands meets the requirements. However, he did not provide details of the conditions that had been met to include PIK 2 in the Thousand Islands Regency.
Junaedi said that his party had submitted a letter of application to the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono regarding the proposal.
The proposal is an effort to strengthen the National Strategic Tourism Area (KPSN) in realizing the concept of a Land of 1,000 islands in the Thousand Islands Regency.
The development of the Land of 1,000 islands that are being discussed with the relevant ministries will absorb thousands of workers and the multi-economic effects of the citizens.

In addition, measurable tourism development will also have an impact on the original revenue of the Thousand Islands, especially DKI Jakarta.
Junaedi said, in general, development in the Thousand Islands after 21 years of officially separating from North Jakarta has been able to meet the basic needs aspect.
However, development is not significant enough even though it has been designated as KSPN.
The integration of PIK II into the Thousand Islands is also considered to strengthen the image of the Thousand Islands tourism and have a psychological impact on the residents of the Thousand Islands to be motivated to develop their territory.
"We must develop the concept of tourism so that the Thousand Islands, which has been designated as KSPN, must have a concept like Bali. It's possible for Bali, the Thousand Islands should also be able to," said Junaedi.
