Have An Order Of 1.9 Million Units, New Consumer Tesla Cybertruck Can Get His Car In Five Years
JAKARTA - Finally, after a long wait, the Tesla Cybertruck entered production at the end of 2023. This car received a tremendous response from various parties, as evidenced by the many orders Tesla has received for this innovative electric-powered pickup.
However, this news also means bad news for consumers. Tesla claims, orders for Cybertruck swelled to more than 1.9 million demand. This means some consumers have to be patient to get their dream vehicle that is about to arrive in their respective garages.
With orders continuing to grow, it is not surprising that consumers will have to wait for the next four to five years to welcome their vehicles.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, acknowledged that the demand for Tesla Cybertruck exceeded their expectations. The unusual design and cutting-edge technology he brings are the main attractions for consumers, especially since demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly.
"It should be noted that the Cybertruck has a lot of new technology that other vehicles don't have," Musk said as quoted by Teslarati, on Friday, July 21.
To date, the total demand for the Tesla Cybertruck has reached 1,943,876 orders. With this figure, Tesla managed to earn more than 194 million US dollars or around Rp. 2.9 trillion during the pre-order period.
The number of orders is almost double the number of orders two years ago. In May 2021, the vehicle reportedly recorded more than 1 million pre-orders, in just about 18 months after the truck was launched.
Recently, a document also disclosed the size and shape of the Cybertruck production version known as the most unique vehicle in the last decade.
Tesla assured that the Cybertruck will be the first truck under 19 feet (suitable for parking in the garage) to have four doors and 6+ feet of beds.
Not only that, Tesla is also trying to set a cheaper Cybertruck price than its rival, Ford F-150 Lightning, which sells for $49,000 or around IDR 736.1 million.
