Solo-Yogyakarta Toll Road Construction, Kartosuro-Purwomartani Section Targeted To Be Completed In 2024
The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) together with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) continues to accelerate the completion of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road. Section 1 is currently being completed from Kartosuro to the Purwomartani Interchange (SS), Sleman Regency with a target completion in 2024.
PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road is a National Strategic Project (PSN). This project was built to improve connectivity and unravel congestion in Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Provinces.
"For PSN Solo-Yogyakarta Toll Road, in 2024 hopefully the community can use it until Purwomartani, because this toll road has been eagerly awaited," he said in an official statement, written on Sunday, July 23.
Construction of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road Section 1 along 42.38 km was carried out by contractor PT Jogjasolo Marga Makmur in 2 packages, namely Section 1 package 1.1 for Kartasura-Klaten along 22.30 km and Section 1 package 1.2 for Klaten-Purwomartani along 20.08 km.
Currently, the land acquisition for the Kartosuro-Klaten section is 95.26 percent with a construction progress of 53.3 percent, while for the Klaten-Purwomartani segment the land progress reaches 79.96 percent with physical work 2.6 percent.
"This toll road is highly awaited by the public because more than 25,000 vehicles pass Solo-Yogja every day, so it is crowded, even in certain periods it is very jammed. Immediately we will finish it so that the traffic is even smoother," said Basuki.

The Ministry of PUPR continues the construction of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road Section II Purwomartani-Gamping along 23.42 km which is divided into 2 packages, namely Package 2.1 Purwomartani-Monjali along 9.03 km and Package 2.2 Mongali-JC. Sleman along 6.6 km and Section III Sleman-Purworejo along 38.59 km.
The Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road has a total length of 96.57 Km with an investment value of around Rp. 27.48 trillion. It is hoped that the completion of this toll road can improve the economy and connectivity of the golden triangle areas of Jogja, Solo and Semarang (Joglosemar) because they will be connected to the Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road and the Trans Java Toll Road for the Semarang-Solo section.
In addition, the presence of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road is also a supporting access to national tourism destinations such as Prambanan Temple and cut the travel time for people who will go to Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulonprogo.
