Not Strongly Moving, Trucks Dragged 2 Vehicles On Jalan Banda Aceh-Medan And 3 People Reportedly Injured

BANDA ACEH - At least three units of four-wheeled vehicles had successive accidents after being dragged by a tronton truck on Jalan Banda Aceh-Medan in Gampong Simpang Beutong, Muara Tiga District, Pidie Regency.

"There were no fatalities in the successive accident, but two victims were injured and have been treated at the Sigli TCD Hospital," said Pidie Police Chief AKBP Imam Asfali, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 17.

Imam explained that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, at that time a tronton truck traveling from Medan to Banda Aceh was unable to climb the Beutong Intersection, so he chose to withdraw.

"When the truck withdrew, three cars behind it collided because they were dragged by the back of the truck," he said.

The Tronton with the number BL 6694 PF was driven by Rizal Jufri (40), a resident of Gampong Adan Mns Mee, Mutiara Timur District, Pidie.

Meanwhile, the other victims who experienced traffic jams were Hestidi Rahayu (26), a resident of Jaya Baru District, Mia Khalida (30) a resident of Gampong Paya Bujok Seuleumak, Langsa Baro, Muliana (48) a resident of Peukan Bada, Ashadi Sukri (45) a resident of Gampong Cinta Damai Bener Meriah.

Then Samsul Asriska (65) Gampong Keumili, a resident of Central Aceh, Mansur (46) a resident of Kuta Baro. The vehicles involved in the collision were Innova Reborn, and two Avanza.

"Currently, the three Ringsek vehicles have been evacuated to the Pidie Police Headquarters," said AKBP Imam Asfali.
