General Chairperson Of IMI Appreciates The Implementation Of Riau Islands Automotive Industry 2023

BATAM - Chairman of the MPR RI as well as Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) and Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) together with the Governor of the Riau Islands (Kepri) Ansar Ahmad and Deputy Chair I of the Riau Islands DPRD as well as Chairman of the Riau Islands IMI Rizky Faisal opened a prestigious automotive event, Kenduri Otomotif Kepri 2023. One of the largest automotive events in Indonesia involved more than a thousand automotive lovers spread from 2,408 islands in Riau Islands.

The IMI Kepri 2023nduri combines various automotive championships with arts and cultural attractions, music festivals, and empowering MSMEs. Through this event, the Riau Islands IMI shows its commitment to coaching athletes as well as making a positive contribution to the economy of the Riau Islands community. Also present were the Head of the Riau Islands Regional Police Inspector General of Tabana Bangun, Head of the Riau Islands BNN Brigadier General Henry Parlinggoman Simanjuntak, Aspotwil Kaskogabwilhan I Brigadier General trawlor Haryono, Head of the Riau Islands Kabinda Colonel Inf Bonar Panjaitan, Chairman of the Riau Islands KONI Usep RS, and Head of Sub-Directorate III Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Kepri AKBP Robby Topan Manusiwa.

Also present were the Central IMI management, among others, the Advisory Body and Member of Commission X DPR RI Robert Cardinal, the Advisory Body and Chairman of Committee II DPD RI Yorrys Raweyai, Deputy Chairperson of Inter-Institutional Relations Junaidi Elvis, Inter-Institutional Relations Andrys Ronaldi, and Communications and Media Hasby Zamri.

Bamsoet explained that various interesting activities have been prepared to enliven the Riau Islands IMI 2023. Among others, the National Drag Bike Championships for round 2, the Regional Drag Race Championships for round 1, Car Meet Up, car and motorcycle contests, high school/vocational student music festivals, MSME bazaars, ATPM, and spare parts, archipelago dance competitions for high school/vocational students levels as well as high school/vocational level student competitions.

Bamsoet explained that the Central IMI together with IMI Kepri and Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad are also preparing for the construction of the Bintan International Green Circuit on Bintan Island, Riau Islands, as the Formula 1 circuit in Indonesia.

To support the existence of the Bintan International Green Circuit, the Riau Islands Provincial Government together with investors will build seven five-star hotels in the Lagoi area, Bintan. These include Four Points by Sheraton, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Alila Villas Bintan, The Haven, Chiva-Som Bintan, and DPrima Budget Hotel. Complementing various hotels that are already available in Bintan, making it easier for tourists who come to watch Formula 1 at the Bintan International Green Circuit.

"The Riau Islands Provincial Government is under Governor Ansar Ahmad's leadership with the support of the central government and various investors are also building the Batam - Bintan Bridge which facilitates the connectivity of the two islands. As well as building a new airport in Bintan, New Bintan International Airport, on an area of 800 hectares. So that it can further support the Bintan International Green Circuit infrastructure as the host of Formula 1," concluded Bamsoet.
