Deputy Minister Of SOEs Optimistic That The Main Section Of The Trans Sumatra-Jambi Toll Road Will Be Connected At The End Of 2024
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of SOEs II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo is optimistic that the main section of the Trans Sumatra-Jambi Toll Road will be connected by the end of 2024.
Kartika said that phases 1 and 2 of the construction of the Trans Sumatra-Jambi toll road can be completed by the end of 2024. Meanwhile, the follow-up process will be carried out in the upcoming government.
"For the stages 1 and 2 to Jambi until the end of 2024, the third and fourth are new governments," Kartika said after the signing of the investment transactions of PT Hutama Karya and INA in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Friday, July 14.
Kartika said that the main priority section is Pekan Baru to Medan. In addition, there will be several wing toll roads in Padang.
PT Hutama Karya or HK (Persero) is still assigned to build the Betung-Jambi section. Kartika hopes that this can be completed in accordance with President Joko Widodo's mandate by the end of 2024.
"So the hope is that the President, by the end of 2024 he can bone it, from Bakauheni to Jambi," said Kartiko.
Regarding financing, Kartika said that for the construction of stages 1 and 2, funds of IDR 30 trillion were still needed from State Equity Participation (PMN).
However, he said that it was possible that this funding would go through an availability payment or infrastructure development scheme by collaborating with the private sector.
