Ahead Of Introduction As Inter Miami's New Player, Lionel Messi: My Mentality And Mind Will Not Change

JAKARTA - Lionel Messi will be introduced as the new Inter Miami player on Sunday, July 16, next. Currently, the Argentine has arrived in the United States.

Lionel Messi admits that he can't wait to face the new challenges at Inter Miami. He also didn't feel sorry for his decision to move to the Major League Soccer (MLS) club.

"I am pleased with the decision we made. I am ready and excited to face new challenges," Messi said in an interview with Argentine TV.

"My mentality and mind will not change and I will try wherever I am to give my maximum for myself and for the club, to continue to appear at the highest level," continued the 36-year-old.

Inter Miami is currently preparing a special event to introduce the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner. It is planned that the introduction will be held at the DRV PNK Stadium, Florida, United States.

"Fans will be able to enjoy an interesting entertainment night, a speech on the pitch, and more," the club said in a statement on their official website.

Messi will reunite with his former Barcelona team-mate, Sergio Busquets, at Inter Miami. In addition, he will also work closely with his former Blaugrana coach Gerardo Martino.

Inter Miami is also rumored to be recruiting other former Barcelona players, namely Jordi Alba and former Real Madrid Sergio Ramos.

Messi is expected to make his Inter Miami debut on July 21 in the League Cup match against Mexican club Cruz Azul.
