Distribution Of The 2024 Election Election, Pos Indonesia Prepares 10,000 Logistics Vehicles
JAKARTA - PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) together with State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) logistics clusters are partners of the General Election Commission (KPU) to distribute the logistics of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). A number of preparations have been made ranging from the fleet to warehouses.
President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, said the company had prepared at least 10,000 units of logistics vehicles to make the 2024 General Election a success.
"We have prepared more than 10,000 of these fleets, there are various kinds, especially those on land. Starting from motorbikes, blindvans, ankle trucks to wingbox trucks. This belongs to Pos Indonesia itself," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, Tuesday, July 11.
Not only the Indonesian Pos fleet, said Faizal, the transportation belonging to SOEs in other logistics clusters will also be involved to transport logistics for the 2024 General Election from various routes, land, sea, and air.
The SOEs that are members of the logistics cluster are PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), DAMRI, PELNI, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), PT Angkasa Pura I (AP I), PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II), General Company for Transportation of Djakarta Passengers (Perum PPD), and PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER).
Apart from the state-owned fleet, Faizal said that his party would also cooperate with the private sector so that the implementation of this once-in-five-year democratic party could run smoothly.

"It definitely requires a third party role, in this case private companies, because the time is very tight, and there are a lot of necessary resources," he said.
Faisal said PT Pos Indonesia had also prepared a logistics warehouse at 4,500 sub-district points. Even though the number is still lacking, the number of sub-districts in Indonesia has reached 7,200.
Faisal said, the warehouses prepared will also be used as locations for the multiplier of ballots.
"Sub-districts that do not yet have a post office, this is us who need cooperation, maybe there are SOEs that have them or if they don't exist, we can cooperate with private warehouses," he explained.
