IPW Calls The Case Of Panji Gumilang One Of The Impacts Of Social Welfare On Certain Groups
JAKARTA - Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), has views regarding the alleged blasphemy case by the head of the Al Zaytun Islamic boarding school, Panji Gumilang.
The chairman of the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Teguh Santoso, assessed that the Panji Gumilang case, according to him, was an issue of social inequality. You could say with the simple language, he suspected that there was jealousy from certain communities towards the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
The reason, according to IPW, is because the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School is so advanced, modern and has large assets.
"So that it creates social jealousy in certain groups," Sugeng told VOI, Tuesday, July 11.
Moreover, the existence of an attitude that was deemed quite excessive was allegedly carried out by Panji Gumilang.
"In addition, the intellectual gender attitude of Panji Gumilang himself. For example, through his statement using Israeli greetings. That is what causes more people who have a jealous attitude to develop as blasphemy," he said.
IPW admits that Panji Gumilang has independent views regarding religious attitudes or interpretations. According to IPW, it is a form of ijtihad, but it is also seen as blasphemy.
"This shows that our society has not been able to accept differences - differences in religious attitudes. It should be with broad religious literacy, there should be no need for legal cases to arise," he said.
"Because differences of opinion in attitude of belief, belief and religion are internum things," he added.
Sugeng said that there is no need to debate the nature of the internals, a legal approach cannot be taken.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
"The nature of the internum applies internally in these groups. And there is no need for outsiders to become toothaches or then become angry," he explained.
Previously, it was reported that the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) had not yet determined the status of a suspect against the head of the Al-Zaytun Panji Gumilang Islamic boarding school until Monday, July 10.
This is considered by the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) to be very common because the Police have to go through various stages to determine the status of a suspect against someone.
"The process of determining the suspect goes through the stages, after holding the case of raising the status of fingerprints on the blasphemy case, it is still necessary to carry out the process of examining witnesses," said the Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Teguh Santoso when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 10.
