"Regarding the cause of death, we handed it over to the Ponorogo Police for further developments in the alleged murder," said Head of the Ngawi Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Agung Joko Haryono, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 11.
According to him, the Ngawi Police have revealed the identity of a corpse wrapped in a carpet that was dumped and found under the Ngawi toll road, kilometer 557 entering Widodaren Village, Widoden District, Ngawi Regency, East Java.
The victim was named Sumiran (57), a resident of Pragak Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency.
Disclosure of the identity was discovered after the victim's wife, Suciani (51), a resident of Pragak Village, Magetan, came to the morgue of the Soeroto Ngawi Hospital last week accompanied by officers from the Ponorogo Police Satreskrim.
