Tyson Fury Can Live Historic Crossover Fight Against Former UFC Champion

JAKARTA - British boxer Tyson Fury will have a historic crossover fight against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

The news of Fury's duel with Ngannou has actually been circulating since last April. At that time, Ngannou got into the ring after King Gipsy defeated Dillian Whyte at Wembley.

However, the discourse came after UFC boss Dana White refused to make the fight happen. At that time, Ngannou was still an UFC fighter.

Now, Ngannou has become a free agent and opened the door for Fury's team to hold talks. In fact, reportedly, there had been communication between the two parties last week.

SunSport understands that the negotiation process related to the clashes between linear heavyweight boxing and UFC champions has been resolved.

The fight, which will mark Ngannou's professional boxing debut, will be announced in the near future. Fury will start training for next week's fight.

Fury and Ngannou, aged 34 and 36, respectively, have thrown comments at each other on social media.

Fury recently revealed he had received many offers from around the world to stage a fight.

"I think there's a lot of talk about me and Ngannou fighting each other. He wants to come to boxing and he wants to fight me, he's even in one of my last fights and got in the ring and faced me!" said the WBC heavyweight champion.

"There is potential. We have received many offers from the Middle East at this time to host the match during the summer," he continued.

Ngannou last acted last January at UFC 270, where he defended his heavyweight title after defeating Ciryl Gane.
