The SAR Team Is Still Looking For A Boy Who Fell From A Ship In The Batanghari River
The joint SAR team entering its second day is still searching for a four-year-old boy who fell and drowned in the Batanghari River, Jambi on Thursday July 6 afternoon, which has yet to be found.
"Entering the second day of the search for the boy who drowned in the Batanghari River, precisely in Teluk Leban Village, Maro Sebo Ulu District, Batangharitim Regency, the river continues to localize by boat belonging to Basarnas", said Head of Basarnas Jambi Kornelis as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 7.
The joint SAR team consisting of the Jambi Basarnas, Maro Sebo Ulu Police, Batanghari BPBD and assisted by the community continued to search using a rubber boat method and the search was focused on the downstream of the river from the scene as far as 5 kilos meters.
"The weather conditions at the location are quite sunny and the river currents are quite strong", he said.
The incident of a four-year-old boy with the initials R in Batanghari Regency who drowned while crossing the river using a ketek boat with his mother and it was not known what caused the boy to fall and sink directly into the river with a heavy flow.

Communications between the Jambi Basarnas then received information from residents of Teluk Leban Village regarding a boy with the initials R falling and drowning in the Batanghari River.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon July 6 at 17.00 WIB and the SAR team went straight to the scene.
Based on the information gathered, the victim who was with his mother crossed the Batanghari River using a boat and while on the way the victim slipped and fell into the river.
After learning about the incident, the Jambi Basarnas team immediately moved to the scene to conduct a search by bringing rubber boat equipment and Aqua Eyes to detect objects on the surface of the water, as well as diving.
