Kejari Tabalong Deposits IDR 1.8 Billion In Replacement Money For Corruption Convicts
BANJARMASIN - The Tabalong District Attorney (Kejari) ranks of the South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office deposited around Rp1.8 billion in replacement money into the state treasury through the Tabalong Unit Bank from the convicted corruption case on behalf of M Hilmi Apdaniie.
"With the payment of this replacement money, the convict does not need to serve an additional one year and six months in prison," said Acting Head of Legal Information at the South Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Roy Arland in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5.
The replacement money payment was made by the convict through his family being paid gradually since September 15, 2022 until finally it was declared paid off according to the nominal decided.
Meanwhile, the payment of a fine of Rp. 100 million has also been paid by the convict on September 15, 2022.
Previously, the Tabalong Kejari under the leadership of Kajari Mohamad Ridosan through the Head of the Special Crimes Section Andi Hamzah Kusumaatmaja had confiscated the execution of the convict's assets on May 25, 2023 to complete the payment of replacement money.
However, after the convict paid the replacement money, the prosecutor returned the assets to the convict on July 5, 2023 by releasing the sign of confiscation of the execution of his assets.
