Netizens Ask Syahnaz And Rendy To Be Boycotted On TV, KPI: Artists Should Be Examples For The Community
JAKARTA - Syahnaz Sadiqah and Rendy Kjaernett are still public talks due to the affair scandal. Playing in the title of the same soap opera, both of them still appear on the small screen.
The silence of Syahnaz and Rendy, who have not yet provided clarification, has made public speculation more developed. Most recently, netizens even asked that both be boycotted from television.
The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) has also opened its voice regarding the boycott of Syahnaz and Rendy. According to them, KPI is not authorized to boycott an artist appearing on television.
"I need to say that the KPI's task is not to boycott artists, it is entirely the authority of television or radio institutions to sign the artist," said Aliyah, a member of the KPI broadcast content supervisor, launching YouTube CumiCumi, Thursday, June 29.
Aliyah also talked about the entertainment program that reported Syahnaz and Rendy's affair. He said there were already rules that regulated it, and the program only needed to follow suit.

"In response to the case of S and R who are suspected of having an affair, we understand the emotions of the community because both of them are public figures," said Aliyah.
"We hope that the public figure must set a good example for the community," he concluded.
