The SAR Team is Still Trying to Reach the SAM Air Plane Crash Location
JAYAPURA - The joint SAR team has so far been trying to reach the location of the wreckage of the SAM Air PK-SMW plane which had an accident while heading to Poik, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
Danlanud Silas Papare Marsma TNI M. Dadan Gunawan said that currently the joint SAR team is still trying to reach the location because the location is steep, making it difficult for team members who are already around the location.
Indeed, in addition to its difficult location, the weather also changes frequently and is not friendly, making it difficult for the SAR team members.
"However, Monday morning it was reported that the weather was sunny so that additional personnel were scheduled from Wamena," said Marsma TNI M. Dadan Gunawan quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 26.
Meanwhile, Kasiops Basarnas Jayapura Marinus Ohoirat separately said that the joint SAR team was deployed again around the scene (TKP) using ropes from Caracal helicopters (rapling).

The six joint team personnel from Basarnas and Paskhas were equipped with various additional equipment such as censaws and various other supporting equipment.
"The team is trying to get closer to the coordinates where the plane is located because the location is steep and the weather changes frequently," explained Marinus Ohoirat.
The PK-SMW aircraft belonging to Samuwa Air (SAM Air), Friday (23/6) morning had an accident on the Elelim-Poik flight carrying four passengers namely Bartolomeus (34), Ebeth Halerohon (29), Dormina Halerohon (17), Kilimputni ( 20) with Hari Permadi Pilot and Co Pilot Levi Murib.
