Gerinda Remembers Desmond, Critical To Care For Kerakyatan Issues

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party politician Desmond Junaidi Mahesa closed after today. He is known as a critical figure when expressing his opinion.

"The deceased is a figure who is known to be very critical in expressing opinions and criticism at the time he chaired meetings at Commission III of the DPR," said Secretary General of Gerindra Ahmad Muzani in his statement, Saturday, June 24.

According to him, Desmond's critical attitude could not be separated from his background as an activist. He often targets aspirations for the benefit of all Indonesian people.

"This critical attitude is certainly inseparable from the background of the deceased as an activist who always struggles to voice the aspirations of the people. The deceased is one of the best cadres we have in Gerindra," he said.

Not only critical when he argues, Desmond is a man who really cares about social issues and so on. So, with Desmond's return to the lap of the Almighty, Gerinda really lost one of its best cadres.

"The Gerindra Party's extended family feels a deep loss and sorrow for the death of Mr. Desmond Junaidi Mahesa," he said.

"During his tenure as a member of the DPR, the deceased was very active in providing constructive and critical opinions. That is proof that he does have a very high concern for populist, social, legal and political issues in our country," continued Muzani.

Desmond J Mahesa closed after being at Mayapada Hospital today. He is said to have complained of shortness of breath the day before his death. The plan is that Desmond will be buried at the Al Azhar Memorial Garden Muslim Cemetery, Karawang, West Java, today.
