Declared Healthy, Toddler Positive For Drugs Allowed To Go Home
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) stated that toddlers who are victims of drug abuse in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, have finished undergoing the rehabilitation process and can then return home to return with their families.
"Currently, the child has finished the service process at BNN (National Narcotics Agency). The plan for the return of the child and his mother will be facilitated by the UPTD PPA for East Kalimantan Province," said Deputy for Child Special Protection at the Ministry of PPPA Nahar, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 22.
According to Nahar, currently the child's condition has looked good and can undergo normal activities.
The plan is for the child to live with his extended family outside the city. "Children will live with their extended families outside the city," said Nahar.
His party added that further assistance will be carried out by the City PPA UPTD where the child and his mother live, to monitor the child's growth and development over the next few months.
Previously, victim N (3) tested positive for drugs after his neighbor ST (51) gave N drinking water in a bottle when the victim and her mother went to the perpetrator's house.
After the incident, N later became hyperactive, chatted continuously, and did not sleep for several days.

This is because previously ST used the bottle to consume methamphetamine. ST said that he did not know that the bottle still contained methamphetamine.
In this case, the East Kalimantan Police have named ST as a suspect and detained him.
"For perpetrators in the legal process, they are charged with the Child Protection Law and the Narcotics Law," said Nahar.
